I started my weekend of fun by volunteering for Hearts & Hammers - Twin Cities, Inc. It’s a private non-profit organization that provides exterior painting and home improvement assistance for senior and physically disabled homeowners. Assistance is provided at no cost and is completed during Program Day events in May and September.

We eventually had to stop because of the rain but we got a LOT done in the four hours.  I selfishly kept working through the rain because my hair gets all curly and I love it.  The house  looked great and it was extremely fun. I can’t wait to do it again.

I am going to Gasthof zur Gemulichkeit tonight for Oktoberfest.  After a few beers,  I’ll probably be asking strangers if they need help painting their house.
